What are Renewable Energy Certificates? (RECs)
RECs – Renewable Energy Certificates – Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) are a market-based instrument that certifies the bearer owns a megawatt-hour (MWh) of electricity generated from a renewable energy source.
Once the electricity supplier has delivered energy into the grid, it receives RECs and can then be sold on the open market as an energy commodity. For example, RECs could be sold to other polluting entities as a carbon credit to offset their emissions.

How it Works

In other words, renewable energy credits, paired with electricity from the grid, are renewable energy being generated on your behalf.

We provide REC generation service for sellers and receive service fees.
